Gravel through A Limia from Xinzo de Limia

One of the few plains in Galicia: the A Limia district, once home to the old Antela lagoon. The route leaves Xinzo de Limia and follows the straight land-consolidation tracks between potato and cereal fields, passing through Sandiás, Rairiz de Veiga and Porqueira before returning to Xinzo. The surface is dirt and gravel track with stretches of rural tarmac; there is barely any elevation, so it is a good one to start out on gravel or to ride fast. Water and bars in Xinzo, Sandiás and Porqueira. Best from April to October: in winter there is fog and the tracks flood. Around the old lagoon there are birds; respect the ponds and stay on the tracks.
