The route

An out-and-back along the old mining railway of the Trubia valleys, now a well-kept compacted dirt trail. You set off from Tuñón (Santo Adriano), ride through the gorges and tunnels towards Proaza, carry on beside the river through Caranga and enter the Teverga valley as far as Entrago, where you turn round. A very gentle gradient, perfect for taking it easy or riding with older children. Bring a light for the tunnels. There are fountains, picnic areas and bars in Tuñón, Proaza and Entrago. You can ride it all year round; in summer and at weekends there are lots of people on foot, so keep your speed down and give a warning when overtaking.

Track designed by our editorial team on OpenStreetMap (ODbL).

Before you set off, check the state of the road or track and follow the traffic rules. Enjoy the ride.
