Gravel through the Pla de Mallorca from Sineu

A loop through the flat interior of Mallorca, away from the coast and the Tramuntana traffic. It starts in Sineu, in the centre of the island, and links Lloret de Vistalegre, Montuïri, Sant Joan and Petra along rural lanes between dry-stone walls, almond, carob and fig trees. It is a mixed route: many of these lanes are narrow, old tarmac, with dirt sections between estates; the site will measure the exact split. There are bars and fountains in every village. Best from October to May; in summer it is very hot and there is hardly any shade. Respect the estate gates and do not enter lanes marked as private.
