The route

CIMA signposted climb (SC03) from Taganana, on the north coast of Anaga, up to the El Bailadero pass. The road leaves the village between vegetable plots and crags and gains height in bends towards the ridge of the massif, where it enters the laurel forest. It is narrow tarmac with visitor traffic at weekends: ride with lights and take care on the blind bends. At the top, trade-wind fog is common and the road can be damp; take an extra layer for the descent. Get water and food in Taganana before you start. You can ride it all year round.

Track based on OpenStreetMap (CIMA climb SC03-1) (ODbL).
