You're looking for a bike shop in Valencia because something has broken, because you want a new bike or because you fancy renting one to ride along the Turia. Whatever it is, the first thing is to know what you have nearby and what each place can sort out for you. Here are the figures from the bicis.net directory and a few tips for choosing well.

How many bike shops there are in Valencia

The bicis.net directory has 91 bike shops in the province of Valencia, with data as of 15 October 2026. It's the province with the third most bike businesses in the directory, behind only Barcelona and Madrid, out of a total of 1,698 businesses in Spain and Andorra.

Almost all of them do more than sell: 90 have a workshop, and some also rent bikes. In other words, at the vast majority you can walk in with your bike and walk out with it fixed, and if you're visiting or want to try before you buy, you've got somewhere to rent.

You'll find them all on the bike shops in Valencia page, with their address and map. If what you need is a repair, go straight to the bike workshops in Valencia.

Valencia, Alicante and Castellón: shops and workshops

If you live between two provinces or get around the coast, it helps to see the breakdown across the whole Comunitat Valenciana:

Alicante686868
Castellón141414

A business that is both a shop and a workshop counts in both columns. You'll find the full table, province by province, in Ciclismo en cifras.

Shop, workshop or rental: what are you after?

If you're buying a new bike

Ask to try it. A good shop lets you take it for a spin, adjusts the saddle and handlebar and asks where you're going to ride: the city bike lane isn't the same as the tracks inland. Also ask which check-ups are included in the first few months: cables and spokes bed in and it's worth going over them.

If you need a repair

Call before you go. In autumn and spring many workshops have a waiting list, and you save yourself the trip if they tell you when they can take it. If it's something quick (a puncture, adjusting the gears, changing brake pads), they'll often do it on the spot. Always ask for a quote before they start.

If you want to rent

For a day around the city or to try an e-bike before buying one, renting is a good option. On the shops page you'll see which businesses rent bikes. Check whether a helmet and lock are included, and whether you can return it somewhere else.

How to choose your bike shop in Valencia

With so many options, look at these three things:

  • That it works with your type of bike. Some shops are very road-focused, others mountain, e-bikes, folding bikes or city bikes. If you have an e-bike, ask whether they service your motor brand.
  • That it's close to where you ride. A workshop five minutes from home is worth its weight in gold when you buckle a wheel on a Sunday afternoon.
  • That it explains what it does. A good mechanic tells you what they've changed and why, and warns you about what will need doing soon.

If you have a shop or workshop in Valencia and you're not in the directory, or your details aren't up to date, you can sign up for free on bicis.net.

Second-hand bikes in Valencia: what prices people ask

Many searches for «bikes in Valencia» are really for a used bike. If that's you, it helps to have a reference for what's being asked in bicis.net listings (median asking price, data as of 15 October 2026):

  • Mountain bike: €813 median, from 98 listings.
  • Road bike: €1,100, from 41 listings.
  • E-bike: €2,160, from 47 listings.

That's what sellers ask, not the final price. Have a look at the listings in your area in bikes in Valencia and, if you buy used, take it to one of those workshops for a tune-up: it's the best way to ride with peace of mind from day one.

Bike ready: get out and ride

Once your bike is ready, make the most of the Valencian autumn. If you fancy something different, the gravel route through the Requena and Utiel vineyards is 57.94 km with 494 m of elevation gain on tracks between the vines, perfect for an unhurried morning. Before you set off, check your tyre pressure and take a spare tube.
