How much is a used BH worth? Second-hand prices in 2026

BH has been making bikes in Vitoria-Gasteiz for more than a century, and it shows in the second-hand market: there are BHs from every era, from the carbon G6 that so many group riders rode a decade ago to today's Lynx and e-bikes. If you're looking for a second-hand BH, here's how to price it without getting your fingers burnt.
The short version: first look at what type of bike it is, then the year and finally the condition. With those three things and the references below you'll know whether a listing is asking a fair price.
Reference prices on bicis.net
There still aren't enough BHs listed on bicis.net to calculate a reliable median for the brand alone. So we give you the median price for each type of bike, with all brands together: it's what sellers ask, not what buyers end up paying.
| Type of bike | Listings | Median price (€) | Cheap band, up to (€) | Expensive band, from (€) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Road | 41 | 1,100 | 680 | 2,800 |
| Mountain | 98 | 813 | 450 | 1,380 |
| E-bikes | 47 | 2,160 | 1,500 | 2,975 |
217 active «For sale» listings, data as of 26 October 2026 (Cycling in figures). The cheap band gathers the quarter of listings with the lowest prices and the expensive band the highest quarter.
The BHs you'll come across in listings
The G6 and the G7: carbon with some years on them
The G6 was for years BH's benchmark carbon bike, and the G7 its successor. Today they're veteran bikes: they can be a good way into carbon, but the price has to reflect their age. Check whether the groupset is original or has been changed, the type of brakes (almost all are rim brakes) and the state of the frame. A G6 with a worn drivetrain and stock wheels belongs in the cheap band for its type, not at the median.
Today's road and gravel
The Ultralight is the light one for climbing, the Aerolight the aerodynamic one and the Gravel X the one for dirt roads. Versions with disc brakes and electronic shifting are the ones that hold their price best.
Mountain
The Ultimate is the XC hardtail and the Lynx the full-suspension bike, in marathon, trail and enduro versions depending on travel. On a Lynx always check the linkage bearings: that's where wear shows most.
E-bikes
BH has electric mountain bikes such as the iLynx and the AtomX, plus urban and trekking models. On all of them, the battery matters more than the paint.
How a BH loses value
The drop is steep at first and softens later. In the first year a bike loses roughly a quarter of its price new, and after four well-kept years it still holds about half. Beyond that point, condition is what counts. The bike valuation tool does the maths for you with the brand, model, year and condition.
What raises the price: groupset or wheel upgrades, services with receipts and having the purchase invoice. What lowers it: knocks, drivetrain wear, unserviced suspension and, on e-bikes, a battery with many cycles.
Before you pay: the quick check
- Frame and fork. In good light, look for cracks, knocks and chipped paint at the joints. On carbon, if in doubt, have a workshop look at it.
- Headset and bottom bracket. Pull the front brake and push: there should be no play. Turn the cranks without the chain: they should spin smoothly.
- Drivetrain. Measure chain wear and look at the teeth on the cassette and chainrings. If it needs replacing, take it off the price.
- Suspension. No oil on the stanchions, no knocks and servicing up to date.
- Battery (if it's an e-bike). Ask for a diagnosis with the charge cycles, and make sure the charger and keys come with it.
- Paperwork. Invoice and serial number, which is under the bottom bracket. Look it up in the bicis.net stolen bike register before paying.
- Size. BH sizes go by letters and each model has its own geometry chart. Try it, or compare saddle height and reach with your current bike before meeting up.
Selling your BH?
See what others are asking in the BH listings and in all second-hand listings, set a price within the band for its type and show the frame, groupset and serial number clearly. Listing it is free. If you'd rather sell it now, at We buy your bike they'll make you an offer.
A tip that works: in the listing title put model, year, size and groupset («BH Lynx, size M, Deore»). It's the first thing buyers search for, so your listing comes up when someone looks for exactly that bike.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a second-hand BH G6 worth?
It depends on the groupset, the wheels and the condition. As a guide, a used road bike asks a median of €1,100 on bicis.net (41 listings, data as of 26 October 2026). A G6 with some years and stock components usually sits in the cheap band, which goes up to €680.
And a used BH Lynx?
Mountain bikes ask a median of €813 (98 listings). A recent, well-maintained Lynx heads towards the expensive band, from €1,380.
Is a second-hand BH e-bike worth it?
Yes, with a healthy battery. E-bikes ask a median of €2,160 (47 listings). Without a battery diagnosis, negotiate or don't buy.
How do I avoid buying a stolen BH?
Ask for the invoice, check the serial number under the bottom bracket and look it up in the stolen bike register. If they won't let you see it, look for another one.
