How much is a used Orbea worth? Second-hand prices in 2026

Orbea is the brand you see most in group rides here: it's designed in Mallabia (Bizkaia) and has bikes for everything, from the Orca road bike to the Rise e-bike. That's good if you're buying used, because there's plenty on offer, and also if you're selling, because people know it and look for it. The question is the usual one: how much is a second-hand Orbea worth?
If you're looking for a second-hand Orbea, the price depends on three things: the range, the year and how well it's been looked after. Here are the bicis.net price references, how a bike loses value over the years and what to check before you pay.
What used bikes are asking on bicis.net today
There aren't yet enough Orbeas for sale on bicis.net to give a median for the brand alone without cheating. What you do have is the median price by type of bike, across all brands. It's what sellers ask, not the final sale price, and it helps you tell whether a listing is expensive or cheap.
| Type of bike | Listings | Median price (€) | Cheap band, up to (€) | Expensive band, from (€) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mountain | 98 | 813 | 450 | 1,380 |
| Road | 41 | 1,100 | 680 | 2,800 |
| E-bikes | 47 | 2,160 | 1,500 | 2,975 |
Data from 217 active «For sale» listings, as of 26 October 2026 (Cycling in figures). The cheap band is the quarter of listings with the lowest prices and the expensive band the quarter with the highest. A high-end Orbea usually sits in the expensive band for its type; an entry-level one, in the cheap band.
The Orbeas you'll find most often second-hand
Road and gravel
The Orca is the classic road bike, in aluminium and carbon, and the Orca Aero its aerodynamic version. The Avant has a comfortable geometry for long rides. In gravel, the Terra. Always check the groupset: with the same frame, an Ultegra and a 105 aren't worth the same.
Mountain
The Alma is the hardtail for marathon and XC, the Oiz the XC full-suspension, the Occam the trail bike and the Rallon the enduro bike. Full-suspension bikes have more parts to check, and that weighs on the price.
E-bikes
The Rise is the lightweight electric mountain bike, the Wild the one with a powerful motor, the Gain the assisted road and gravel bike and the Vibe the urban one. On all of them, the state of the battery matters more than the paint.
Aluminium or carbon
Almost every Orbea model has come in both versions. Aluminium takes knocks better and is easier to check by eye, so it's a safe buy if it's your first used bike. Carbon is lighter and holds its value better, but needs a more careful inspection: if in doubt, take it to a workshop before closing the deal.
How much an Orbea loses over the years
A bike loses value quickly at first and more slowly later. In the first year it drops around a quarter of what it cost new. After that the fall softens, and a well-kept four-year-old bike still holds almost half its price. The Orbea valuation tool does the maths for you with the model, the year and the condition.
What raises the price: a better groupset and wheels than stock, services with receipts and the original invoice. What lowers it: knocks on the frame, a worn drivetrain, a fork or shock without maintenance and, on e-bikes, a tired battery. Also check the model year and not just the purchase year: a bike bought new in a shop may be from an earlier season.
What to check before buying a used Orbea
- Frame: look at the tubes, the stays and the head tube area in good light. On carbon, any crack or deep knock is a reason not to buy.
- Fork and shock: make sure they don't leak oil, have no play and the stanchions aren't scratched. Ask when they were last serviced.
- Drivetrain: chain, cassette and chainrings. If it's worn, plan to replace it and take it off the price.
- Battery and motor (if it's an e-bike): ask for a workshop diagnosis with the charge cycles and check that the charger and keys come with the bike.
- Serial number: it's under the bottom bracket. Check it in the bicis.net stolen bike register before paying and ask for the invoice.
- Size: try it. A bargain in a size that isn't yours isn't a bargain.
If you're selling yours
Set a price within the band for its type, with clear photos of the frame, the groupset and the serial number, and mention the services. In the Orbea listings you can see what similar ones are asking, and in all second-hand listings you can compare with other brands. Listing it is free, and if you'd rather sell without waiting, at We buy your bike they'll make you an offer.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a second-hand Orbea mountain bike worth?
As a guide, a used mountain bike asks a median of €813 on bicis.net (98 listings, data as of 26 October 2026). A recent Orbea Oiz or Rallon will be above that; an aluminium Alma from a few years ago, below.
And a used Orbea Orca?
Road bikes ask a median of €1,100 (41 listings). A carbon Orca with a good groupset heads towards the expensive band, which starts at €2,800.
Is a second-hand Orbea e-bike worth it?
Yes, if the battery is healthy. E-bikes ask a median of €2,160 (47 listings). Ask for a battery diagnosis before paying.
How do I know a used Orbea isn't stolen?
Ask for the invoice, check the serial number under the bottom bracket and look it up in the stolen bike register. If the seller won't let you see it, don't buy.
