The route

One of the toughest climbs in Mallorca, from sea level. You start at the small cove of Port de Valldemossa and climb a very narrow single-lane road, with tight bends and steep ramps among pine woods and terraces, until you join the coast road near the Coll de Claret. Take low gears and descend very carefully: the surface is uneven, there's no hard shoulder and you'll meet cars going up or down to the cove. Down below there's a restaurant by the sea; water and coffee in Valldemossa too. Best from autumn to spring and on weekdays, with less traffic.

Track based on OpenStreetMap (CIMA climb IB04-1) (ODbL).
