The route

CIMA signposted climb (SC03) from San Andrés, the fishing village next to Las Teresitas beach, up to the El Bailadero pass, on the Anaga ridge. It is the southern side of the same pass that climbs from Taganana: it starts at sea level, rises up the San Andrés valley between dry slopes and finishes in the laurel forest at the top, often inside the cloud. Tarmac, with visitor traffic at weekends and tight bends: ride with lights and take care on the way down, because the surface is often damp at the top. Water and food in San Andrés before you set off. You can ride it all year round.

Track based on OpenStreetMap (CIMA climb SC03-2) (ODbL).
