“Second-hand Trek” is one of the most common searches when someone wants to buy or sell a branded bike. Trek is an American brand with a strong presence in shops across Spain, so there are lots of them on the road and quite a few changing hands. The question is always the same: how much is mine worth, or how much should I pay for the one I like?
Here's an answer based on our own data. There's no official price table for used Treks, but we do know what's being asked in the active listings on bicis.net, split by type of bike. From there, we explain where each Trek family sits within that range.
What people ask for a used bike, by category
These are the prices asked by sellers on bicis.net. It's what's asked, not what ends up being paid: there's usually some room to negotiate. The data isn't split by brand, because there aren't yet enough listings for each one to give a reliable figure. That's why the useful thing is to look at your Trek's category and place it within its range.
| Category | Listings | Low range, up to (€) | Median (€) | High range, from (€) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mountain | 98 | 450 | 813 | 1,380 |
| Road | 41 | 680 | 1,100 | 2,800 |
| E-bikes | 47 | 1,500 | 2,160 | 2,975 |

How to read it: a quarter of the listings in each category ask less than the low range, and another quarter ask more than the high range. Half sit in between. A high-end, well-kept, recent Trek will be at the top; an entry-level one with some years and worn parts, at the bottom.
Trek road bikes: Domane, Émonda and Madone
On the road, Trek is organised into three families that are worth telling apart before setting a price.
Domane: the endurance bike
This is Trek's endurance bike: a more upright position, wider tyres and systems to filter out vibration. It's the one you see most at sportives, which makes it easy to find buyers. Aluminium versions with an entry-level groupset usually sit close to the road median; carbon ones with disc brakes and an electronic groupset climb towards the high range.
Émonda: the lightweight
Built for climbing. It holds its value well when the frame is carbon and it has discs, because that's exactly what climbers are after. Older rim-brake Émondas lose more: today the market wants discs, and that pulls the price towards the low range.
Madone: the aero bike
It's the most expensive bike in the range and the one that loses the most money in euros over the years, even if it stays at the top of the range. If you're selling one, list everything it comes with: wheels, power meter, electronic groupset. Those extras explain a good part of the price.
Trek mountain bikes: Marlin, Roscoe, Procaliber, Top Fuel and Fuel EX
Mountain bikes are the category with the most listings on bicis.net, so the comparison here is more solid.
Hardtails: Marlin, Roscoe and Procaliber
The Marlin is Trek's gateway to the trails and one of the best-selling hardtails. Used, it's usually below the mountain bike median, often in the low range. The Roscoe, more of a fun bike with plus tyres, behaves similarly. The Procaliber, carbon and race-oriented, goes above the median.
Full suspension: Top Fuel and Fuel EX
The Top Fuel is the marathon and XC full-suspension bike; the Fuel EX, the trail bike. Both are usually listed above the mountain bike median and often in the high range. Here the condition of the suspension matters a lot: a recent fork and shock service, with an invoice, is a selling point. If you're buying, always ask when it was done.
Trek e-bikes: Rail, Powerfly, Fuel EXe and Allant+
E-bikes are the most expensive second-hand category: the median is well over double that of mountain bikes. Trek has mountain e-bikes (Rail, Powerfly, Fuel EXe) and urban or leisure ones (Allant+, Verve+).
On a used e-bike, the first thing isn't the frame, it's the battery. Ask for the charge cycles or a shop diagnostic, and check that the motor doesn't make strange noises. A Rail or a Powerfly with a healthy, serviced battery stays in the high range; one with a tired battery can drop to almost half of what one in good condition asks, because replacing it costs a lot. You'll find more details in the guide on how to buy a second-hand e-bike.
What raises and lowers the price of a used Trek
- Raises it: carbon frame, disc brakes, electronic groupset, purchase invoice, recent shop service, common size (M or L) and clear photos.
- Lowers it: rim brakes on a road bike, unserviced suspension, a battery with no data, knocks on the frame, parts swapped for lower-spec ones and very small or very large sizes.
- Barely changes it: the colour or accessories that aren't part of the bike (bags, lights, bike computer). Sell them separately.
If you want a figure for yours specifically, try the bike valuation tool: you'll find the full method in the guide on how much my second-hand bike is worth.
Buy or sell your Trek on bicis.net
If you're looking for one, browse the second-hand listings and filter by category and province. Before paying, ask to see it in person, try the size and check the frame's serial number.
If you're selling, give the exact family (not just “Trek mountain bike”), the size, the approximate year and what it comes with. A clear listing, with good photos and a price within its category's range, sells sooner.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a second-hand Trek road bike worth?
On bicis.net, the median asking price for a used road bike is €1,100, with half the listings between €680 and €2,800 (41 listings, data as of 27 October 2026). An aluminium Domane will be at the lower end; a carbon Émonda or Madone with discs, at the top.
How much value does a Trek lose over the years?
It depends on the range. As a rule, the first year shows a lot and after that it drops more slowly. For rim-brake bikes and e-bikes with a tired battery, the drop can be almost half compared with a unit in good condition from the same family.
What should I check before buying a used Trek mountain bike?
The condition of the fork and shock, drivetrain wear, the linkage bearings on full-suspension bikes and that the serial number matches the invoice. If it's a Fuel EX or a Top Fuel, ask about the last suspension service.
Is there price data just for Trek?
Not yet: on bicis.net there aren't enough listings from a single brand to give a reliable figure. That's why we give the range for each category, based on 217 active listings, and explain where each Trek family falls.
