Lots of people search for a second-hand Cannondale because they want a bike with character: the brand of the CAAD aluminium frames, the Lefty fork and some of the lightest road bikes around. There are plenty of them rolling around Spain and they change hands often. The question, as always: how much is yours worth, or how much should you pay for the one you like?

Here's a reference based on our own data: what sellers are asking in the active listings on bicis.net, by type of bike, and where each Cannondale family sits.

What sellers ask for a used bike, by category

These are the prices sellers on bicis.net are asking, not what is finally paid. There aren't enough listings of a single brand yet to give a figure for Cannondale alone, so look at your bike's category and place it in its range.

How to read it: a quarter of the listings ask for less than the cheap range and another quarter for more than the expensive range. A recent carbon Cannondale will be at the top; an older aluminium one with worn parts, at the bottom.

Cannondale road bikes: CAAD, SuperSix EVO and Synapse

CAAD: the aluminium that holds its price

The CAAD is the brand's best-known aluminium bike. It has a reputation for riding like a carbon one, which is why it loses less than you'd expect from an aluminium bike. With discs and a mid-range groupset, it is usually listed close to the road median.

SuperSix EVO: the race bike

This is Cannondale's race bike, light and fast. Carbon ones with discs and an electronic groupset go into the expensive range. If you're offered one that has raced with a pro team, first read what we say about the Cannondales sold by EF Pro Cycling: there, value works differently.

Synapse: the endurance bike

Comfortable geometry, wide tyres and built for long hours. It's Cannondale's sportive bike. It sells well because it suits lots of riders; aluminium ones sit below the median and carbon ones above it.

Cannondale gravel: Topstone and SuperX

The Topstone is the brand's gravel bike; there are aluminium versions and carbon ones with Kingpin rear suspension. The SuperX was born for cyclocross and today is also used for fast gravel. There are still too few gravel listings on bicis.net to give a reliable figure, so compare them with road bikes: an aluminium Topstone is usually listed below the road median and a carbon one above it. On the Kingpin, check there's no play.

Cannondale mountain bikes: Trail, F-Si, Scalpel, Habit and Jekyll

Hardtails: Trail and F-Si

The Trail is the entry-level hardtail and is usually in or near the cheap range. The F-Si, a race bike often fitted with a Lefty fork, is listed above the mountain median.

Full suspension: Scalpel, Habit and Jekyll

The Scalpel is the XC marathon full-suspension bike; the Habit, the trail one; the Jekyll, the enduro one. All three are listed above the mountain median, many in the expensive range. Ask for the invoice for the last suspension service and check bearings and pivots.

The Lefty fork

It's Cannondale's most distinctive feature. It works very well, but it needs specific servicing and not every workshop does it. A serviced Lefty with an invoice adds value; one with no records is a reason to negotiate. If you're buying, ask where it was serviced.

Cannondale e-bikes: Moterra, Synapse Neo and Adventure Neo

E-bikes are the most expensive second-hand category: their median is well over double the mountain one. Cannondale makes mountain e-bikes (Moterra), road and gravel ones (Synapse Neo, Topstone Neo) and leisure ones (Adventure Neo, Tesoro Neo).

With a used e-bike, the battery comes first: ask for the charge cycles or a shop diagnosis, listen to the motor and check it hasn't been derestricted above 25 km/h. With a healthy battery it stays in the expensive range; with a tired battery it can lose almost half.

What raises and lowers the price of a used Cannondale

  • Raises it: Hi-MOD carbon, disc brakes, electronic groupset, Lefty or suspension serviced with an invoice, a common size (M or L) and clear photos.
  • Lowers it: rim brakes on a road bike, an unserviced Lefty, a battery with no data, dents in the frame and parts swapped for lower-range ones.
  • Hardly changes it: colour and accessories. Sell them separately.

Buy or sell your Cannondale on bicis.net

If you're looking for one, browse the second-hand listings and filter by category and province. Meet up to see it, try the size and check the serial number.

If you're selling, give the exact family and frame (a CAAD13 is not a SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD), the size, the approximate year and what it comes with. A clear listing, with good photos and a price within its range, sells sooner.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a second-hand Cannondale road bike worth?

On bicis.net, the median asking price for a used road bike is €1,100, with half the listings between €680 and €2,800 (41 listings, data as of 27 October 2026). An aluminium CAAD will be in the middle; a carbon SuperSix EVO, at the top.

Is it a problem to buy a used Cannondale with a Lefty?

No, if its servicing is up to date. Ask for the invoice for the last service and which workshop did it: it's a fork that needs specific servicing.

Does an aluminium CAAD lose less than a carbon one?

In euros, yes, because it starts lower. And as it's a highly rated frame, it usually sells without trouble close to the road median if it's been well looked after.

Is there price data for Cannondale alone?

Not yet: there aren't enough listings of a single brand. That's why we give the range for each category, based on 217 active listings, and explain where each family sits.
