How much is a used Lapierre worth? Spicy, Zesty, Overvolt and Xelius: prices and weak points

Lapierre is the French brand you see a lot on MTB trails and on electric mountain bikes, and a little less on the road. It has a wide range: hardtails to get started, rally and enduro full-suspension bikes, Overvolt e-bikes and road bikes such as the Xelius or the Pulsium. If you are looking for a second-hand Lapierre or want to sell yours, first place its family and then look at its condition: on a full-suspension bike or an e-bike, maintenance matters as much as the model.
What people ask for a used bike on bicis.net
The medians of what people ask in bicis.net listings, by category. They are asking prices, not final sale prices.
| Category | Listings | Median (€) | Lower quartile (€) | Upper quartile (€) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mountain | 98 | 813 | 450 | 1,380 |
| E-bikes | 48 | 2,080 | 1,500 | 2,962 |
| Road | 41 | 1,100 | 680 | 2,800 |
Data from Ciclismo en cifras, active «Vendo» (for sale) listings as of 30 October 2026 (218 listings in total). The lower quartile marks the cheapest quarter and the upper quartile the most expensive quarter.
A Lapierre mountain hardtail usually sits close to the €813 median; a well-kept full-suspension bike moves up towards €1,380 or more. Overvolts are compared with the e-bike table, between €1,500 and €2,962 in the middle half, and road bikes with the road one.
Lapierre families and where each one sits
Edge: the hardtail to get started
The Edge is the brand's aluminium mountain hardtail. It is one of the most common for sale and one of the first to drop in price: perfect for getting into MTB without spending much.
XR and XRM: rally and marathon
Short-travel full-suspension bikes for going fast in MTB sportives and races. Carbon ones with good suspension go well above the median. Check the shock and the linkage bearings carefully.
Zesty and Spicy: trail and enduro
The Zesty is the do-it-all trail bike and the Spicy the enduro bike, for descending hard. They are the Lapierres that suffer most: check the suspension, the dropper post and the bearings. A Spicy with lots of descents behind it is worth less than a well-kept Zesty, even if it cost more new.
Overvolt: the electric mountain bikes
There are hardtails and full-suspension models. On a used Overvolt the battery and motor set the price: ask for the workshop diagnostic, the charge cycles and the receipt. Without them, place it in the lower part of the e-bike range.
Xelius, Aircode, Pulsium and Crosshill: road and gravel
The Xelius is the lightweight climber, the Aircode the aero bike, the Pulsium the endurance bike and the Crosshill the gravel bike. They are seen less second-hand than the mountain bikes, which makes them harder to compare: use the road median, €1,100, as a starting point.
What to check before you pay
- The suspension. Compress the fork and shock: they must not leak oil, make noise or have play. Ask when they were last serviced.
- The linkage bearings. On a full-suspension bike, grab the rear wheel and move it sideways: if there is play, the bearings need replacing.
- The dropper post. It should go up and down without sticking or sinking on its own.
- The battery and motor (Overvolt). Ask for the workshop diagnostic, test the bike on a climb and check that the charger is the original.
- The frame. Look for cracks near the head tube, the bottom bracket and the shock mounts. On carbon, if in doubt, have a workshop look at it.
- Drivetrain and brakes. Check wear on the chain, cassette and chainring, and the thickness of the pads and rotors.
- The paperwork. A receipt and a frame serial number that matches.
How to price your Lapierre
- Up if it is carbon, with serviced suspension, a dropper post, good brakes, few kilometres and a receipt; on an Overvolt, with the battery in good condition and a diagnostic.
- Down if the suspension needs servicing, the bearings have play, the drivetrain is worn or there is no paperwork.
- Compare with what is for sale in all bicis.net listings.

Selling your Lapierre
Take clean photos in daylight: a full side view, the suspension, the drivetrain and, if it is an e-bike, the motor and battery. State the family, size, suspension travel, approximate kilometres and what the workshop has done to it. Listing your bike on bicis.net is free.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a second-hand Lapierre worth?
It depends on the family and the condition. A used mountain bike on bicis.net has a median asking price of €813, with the middle half between €450 and €1,380 (98 listings, data as of 30 October 2026). A well-kept carbon full-suspension bike usually sits in the upper part.
How much is a used Lapierre Overvolt worth?
Compare it with the median for used e-bikes on bicis.net: €2,080, with the middle half between €1,500 and €2,962 (48 listings, data as of 30 October 2026). The state of the battery moves it up or down.
What should I check on a used Spicy or Zesty?
Above all the suspension, the linkage bearings and the dropper post. They are bikes that descend a lot and maintenance makes the difference.
Is a Lapierre road bike easy to find second-hand?
Less so than the mountain bikes. To price one, start from the road median on bicis.net, €1,100 (41 listings, data as of 30 October 2026), and adjust for groupset, wheels and condition.
